Earthing Protection
Our Lightning Protection systems are designed to reroute the path of electrical current from a lightning strike safely to ground. Their function is to protect all equipment, structures and of course people. They do so by taking the current generated by a strike safely to earth.
Harrison LP engineers are fully versed in what is required to provide a comprehensive system to ensure maximum protection for you, your business and employees. We meet the standards set by BS6651:1999 and are fully prepared to install systems to the new EU requirements due to come into effect in September 2008.
Harrison LP advise that any Lightning Protection system installed is coupled with one of our Earthing systems also. BS6651:1999 recommends that all Earthing systems should be tested at fixed intervals; preferably not exceeding 12 months.
